[Hepper (1976) p. 120:] "Adampi girls who without having observed the religious ceremonies have become pregnant try to expel the foetus with a decoction of this plant; which they partly drink; partly wash the generative parts with it; partly use as a laxative. The leaves are also used against an itchy eruption and against mumps; they are crushed and the body is rubbed with them."
